Recap: Alpine Bucks vs. Caprock Longhorns
The Alpine Bucks lost against the Caprock Longhorns back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Alpine took a serious blow against Caprock, falling 53-18. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Alpine has scored all season.
Karolina Castillo was Alpine's leading scorer, having posted 11 points.
Hope Dominguez held things down on the boards with 17 rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Alpine has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Caprock, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.
Alpine will be home for the holidays to greet Compass Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Compass Academy is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Caprock, they will face off against Bowie at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Bowie is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
