Basketball Recap: Tri-County North's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Tri-County North entered their tilt with Franklin Monroe on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victor by a 51-27 margin over the Franklin Monroe Jets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Panthers also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Leading Tri-County North to victory were Bella Cherry and Leinani Garcia. Cherry dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds, while Garcia went 8 of 16 on her way to 20 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Cherry a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lola Grieshop, who posted four points.

Tri-County North smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Tri-County North's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Franklin Monroe, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Dayton Christian the next time they take the court. Franklin Monroe will host Dayton Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Tri-County North will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
