Football Recap: Caston Comets vs. North White Vikings
Caston was the 34-28 winner over North White when they last played one another back in October of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Caston Comets were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 14-13 to the North White Vikings.
Despite the defeat, Caston had strong showings from Gage Minniear, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and Jabez Yarber, who rushed for 121 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Minniear got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible77 yards.
Caston's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North White, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.
Caston will venture away from home to take on North Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North White, they will host Frontier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
