Football Game Preview: Brookhaven Panthers vs. North Pike Jaguars + Official Tickets

Brookhaven has gone a perfect 4-0 against North Pike recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. Brookhaven will be strutting in after a victory while North Pike will be coming in after a defeat.

North Pike will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Brookhaven extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Panthers strolled past South Jones with points to spare, taking the game 42-24.

Jaden Allen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 169 yards and one score while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 228 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes. Those 228 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Caiden Quarles was another key player, gaining 132 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Brookhaven was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 293 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Special teams also deserves some recognition, posting 12 points in total. All those points came courtesy of Isaac Iles: he added nine points with three field goals and another three kicking extra points.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for North Pike's offense. They had to suffer through a 39-0 loss at the hands of Laurel. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Golden Tornadoes recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

North Pike's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Brookhaven, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Brookhaven against North Pike in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 38-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
