Basketball Game Preview: Navajo Pine Warriors vs. Rehoboth Christian Lynx

Navajo Pine is 0-10 against Rehoboth Christian since April of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. The Navajo Pine Warriors will host the Rehoboth Christian Lynx at 2:00 p.m.

Navajo Pine is headed into Saturday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were outmatched by Laguna Acoma and fell 69-34. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-16.

Despite the defeat, Navajo Pine saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Riley Dawes almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Faila King was another key player, putting up nine points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Rehoboth Christian came into Friday's game having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They snuck past Dulce with a 48-43 victory on Friday.

Navajo Pine's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Rehoboth Christian, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-12.
