Softball Game Preview: Oley Valley Lynx vs. Fleetwood Tigers

Oley Valley hasn't had much luck against Fleetwood recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Oley Valley will head out to face off against Fleetwood at 4:00 p.m. Oley Valley has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oley Valley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Hamburg on Monday. They came up short against the Hawks, falling 20-1. The loss was the Lynx's first of the season.

Oley Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Walters, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Even though they lost, Oley Valley hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Fleetwood had just enough and edged out Pottsville 7-6 on Wednesday.

Having lost for the first time this season, Oley Valley fell to 3-1. As for Fleetwood, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Oley Valley might still be hurting after the 16-3 defeat they got from Fleetwood when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Oley Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
