Soccer Recap: Redding Christian Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Enterprise, Redding Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Redding Christian Lions who were credited with the win. The Redding Christian Lions got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Lassen Grizzlies's three. Micaiah Wiens had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Lions.

The victory got Redding Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Lassen, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Redding Christian duke it out with the University Prep at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lassen, they will be taking part in a tournament against Red Bluff at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Red Bluff's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Lassen's offense will have their work cut out for them.
