After flying high against South Dade on Friday, Palmer Trinity came back down to earth. The Palmer Trinity Falcons took a 48-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miami Christian Victors. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Palmer Trinity lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emma Esparza, who posted eight points in addition to nine assists and five boards. Esparza has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Wright, who earned eight points and seven rebounds.

Miami Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evelyn Isaac, who put up nine points along with five assists and five steals. The dominant performance also gave Isaac a new career-high in blocks (two). Isabella Aversa was another key player, putting up 11 points and five assists.

Palmer Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Miami Christian, they pushed their record up to 14-11 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Palmer Trinity has already played their next contest (against Archbishop Carroll), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Miami Christian will challenge Schoolhouse Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Schoolhouse Prep's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
