Basketball Game Preview: Newton Braves vs. Vernon Vikings

The Newton Braves will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Vernon Vikings at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Vernon took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Newton, who comes in off a win.

Last Thursday, Newton humbled Sussex County Tech with a 49-20 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Braves.

Meanwhile, Vernon ended up a good deal behind Jefferson Township on Thursday and lost 38-23.

Vernon's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Newton, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
