Basketball Recap: Katie Westwood Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Willis

College Park's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Willis Wildkats, sneaking past 34-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cavaliers have posted since November 19th.

College Park's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Katie Westwood, who posted 12 points and four steals. That's the most steals Westwood has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Brooke Smith, who went 5 of 10 en route to 10 points and three steals.

College Park now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Willis, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing New Caney the next time they take the court. College Park will host New Caney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Willis will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on December 17th.
