It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Lincoln Southwest ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Lincoln East Spartans 3-2. Lincoln Southwest haven't had any issues with Lincoln East recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Peyton Held was the driving force of Lincoln Southwest's attack as she scored all three of Lincoln Southwest's goals, bringing her season total up to six goals.

Lincoln Southwest pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three games. As for Lincoln East, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
