Basketball Recap: Attica Piles Up the Points Against South Newton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Attica). They blew past the South Newton Rebels 49-19 on Monday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Red Ramblers with their most commanding win of the season.

Attica's victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for South Newton, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Attica will be home for the holidays to greet Donovan/St. Anne at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Donovan/St. Anne has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for South Newton, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fountain Central at 7:30 p.m. on January 15, 2025.
