Basketball Recap: Hale Takes a Loss

Hale was the 59-34 winner over Keytesville when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hale Cardinals fell to the Keytesville Tigers 40-35. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Keytesville's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kiera Shannon, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 14 boards. Shannon is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 11 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Harlee Bruce, who posted 18 points.

Hale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Keytesville, their record now sits at 2-16.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cardinals challenge the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on February 18th. As for Keytesville, they will head out on the road to face off against Brashear at 6:00 p.m. on February 18th.
