Clarksburg is 0-10 against Greenfield since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Rockets will take on the Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Clarksburg's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Humboldt. The win continues a trend for the Rockets in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on Chadwick Ward, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Chase Hollingshead was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Clarksburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Greenfield had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Red Devils.
Will Edwards spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Greenfield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Clark, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
Greenfield pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Clarksburg, their record is now 6-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Clarksburg has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Greenfield struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Clarksburg might still be hurting after the 18-3 loss they got from Greenfield in their previous matchup on Thursday. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
