Meanwhile, Muleshoe had just enough and edged out Roosevelt 2-1 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Mules in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Littlefield's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Muleshoe, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Littlefield took their victory against Muleshoe in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 13-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
