Baseball Recap: Rancho Cotate's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rancho Cotate had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-2 win over the Kingsburg Vikings.

Camden Henington spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Luke Morie, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Cooper Reichert also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Rancho Cotate's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 17-13. As for Kingsburg, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 21-12.

Coming up, Rancho Cotate will challenge Carmel at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Padres will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. Kingsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
