University extended their winning streak to ten on Tuesday, bumping their season record up to 18-3 in the process. Everything went their way against the Weld Central Rebels as they made off with a 14-5 victory. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight matchups by six runs or more this season.

Aiden Solano looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Will Korby, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Preston Natividad was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

As for Weld Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

On Weld Central's side, Pierce Thoene made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Ross Phelps also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. University is set to take on their familiar foe Strasburg at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Bulldogs' favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while the Indians have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road. Meanwhile, Weld Central will face off against rival Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
