Space Coast entered their tilt with Cocoa Beach on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They breezed by the Cocoa Beach Minutemen to the tune of 50-22. The Vipers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season.

Space Coast found their leader in freshman Zanya Smith, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 10 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nakayla Smith, who posted six points and three steals.

Space Coast has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Cocoa Beach, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Space Coast will challenge Edgewood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Phillayjah Carroll and Janae Mcfall. As for Cocoa Beach, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-33 defeat against Merritt Island Christian on the 10th.
