Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Riverside

Riverside won against Hillcrest last Thursday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Gaffney Indians, sneaking past 7-6. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Riley Bigler, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Coster, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Riverside hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least two batters in four consecutive matchups.

Riverside's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Gaffney, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Riverside will challenge rival Wade Hampton at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Gaffney is set to face off against their familiar foe Spartanburg at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
