Sunset and Southridge are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but likely not for long. The Apollos will venture away from home to challenge the Skyhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Southridge took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Sunset, who comes in off a win.

Sunset took a loss when they played away from home last Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Aloha. Considering Sunset have won four matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Southridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Beaverton, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Southridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon soccer rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Beaverton are ranked eighth).

Southridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Sunset, their win bumped their record up to 5-3-1.

Sunset was able to grind out a solid victory over Southridge when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Apollos since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
