Softball Recap: Slippery Rock Takes a Loss

Slippery Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Sharon Tigers, falling 15-0. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Rockets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Slippery Rock's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sharon, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Slippery Rock is set to face off against their familiar foe Grove City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Sharon will take on rival Oil City at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
