Basketball Recap: Green Bay West Comes Up Short

Green Bay West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the West De Pere Phantoms, falling 83-58. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Phantoms are ranked 66th).

Green Bay West's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for West De Pere, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Green Bay West will head out on the road to square off against Xavier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Xavier has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 237 points over their last three contests. As for West De Pere, they will host Shawano Community at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in West De Pere's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Shawano Community has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
