Basketball Recap: Wilkes-Barre Comes Up Short

Wilkes-Barre lost against Dallas back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wilkes-Barre Wolfpack fell 57-49 to the Dallas Mountaineers.

Wilkes-Barre's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-6. As for Dallas, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wilkes-Barre will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hazleton Area at 7:15 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Dallas, they will be playing at home against Greater Nanticoke Area at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Dallas' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
