Thompson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Chilton County Tigers with a sharp 100-79 win. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Despite the loss, Chilton County still got an impressive performance from Cayden Meank, who shot 59% from the field en route to 23 points. Another player making a difference was Damarien Floyd, who went 6-for-13 on his way to 16 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Thompson is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Clay-Chalkville at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chilton County, they will challenge Jemison at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
