The SkyView Academy Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the Gilpin County Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. SkyView Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

On Monday, SkyView Academy came up short against Loveland Classical and fell 4-2. SkyView Academy have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maya Bremer and Kadyn D'Andrea scored both of SkyView Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Gilpin County made sure to put some goals up on the board against Clear Creek on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Golddiggers. Considering Gilpin County have won six contests by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Gilpin County's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those five games. As for SkyView Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1.

Everything went SkyView Academy's way against Gilpin County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as SkyView Academy made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
