Baseball Recap: Carroll Find Success

Huntington North typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Carroll proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 11-8. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won nine in a row.

Jaxon Sparks was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. He is becoming a predictor of Carroll's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 4-2 (and 7-9 when he doesn't). Asher Wagoner also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The victory got Carroll back to even at 11-11. As for Huntington North, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season.
