Recap: Jonathan Alder Pioneers vs. Kenton Ridge Cougars
The Jonathan Alder Pioneers were the 51-42 winner over the Kenton Ridge Cougars when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Jonathan Alder fell just short of Kenton Ridge by a score of 49-46. Jonathan Alder has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kenton Ridge had a senior duo take command as Ckai Rogan scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and Canye Rogan scored 16 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Rogan has scored at least 25% of Kenton Ridge's points. Another player making a difference was Braden Smith, who scored 2 points along with 7 rebounds.
Jonathan Alder's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kenton Ridge, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Jonathan Alder will be playing at home against River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully River Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Saturday. As for Kenton Ridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwestern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
