Recap: Monarch Coyotes vs. Fossil Ridge SaberCats
Even though the Monarch Coyotes have not done well against the Fossil Ridge SaberCats recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Monarch managed a 46-42 victory over Fossil Ridge. Winning may never get old, but Monarch sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Monarch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyler Carlson, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was graham johnson, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Monarch has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Fossil Ridge, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monarch won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mountain Range at 4:00 p.m. on January 20th. Mountain Range has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Fossil Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Prairie View at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
