Baseball Recap: Concord's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Concord lost against Quincy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Orioles by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to the Yellowjackets' undefeated start to the season.

Jordan Medellion put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Medellion was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Medellion wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Dustin Hamilton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Concord fell to 2-1. As for Quincy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Concord is set to challenge their familiar foe Union City at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Quincy will square off against rival Springport at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
