Basketball Game Preview: Pleasant Grove Vikings vs. Bingham Miners + Official Tickets

Pleasant Grove is 2-8 against Bingham since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Vikings will head out to challenge the Miners at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Pleasant Grove is headed out to face Bingham after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Vikings put the hurt on American Fork with a sharp 79-53 win on Tuesday. The Vikings pushed the score to 55-35 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cavemen had little chance of recovering from.

Tabatha Clark and Sutton Villa were among the main playmakers for Pleasant Grove as the former posted 31 points and five rebounds and the latter scored 19 points along with six blocks and five boards. Cash Connors was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Bingham had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 67-61 W over Mountain View. The score was all tied up 30-30 at the break, but the Miners were the better team in the second half.

Pleasant Grove better keep an eye on Evalyn Roberts. She was instrumental in Bingham's win, almost dropping a double-double with 22 points and nine steals. Those 22 points gave Roberts a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Aiono, who shot 50% from the field en route to 12 points and three steals.

Things could have been worse for Pleasant Grove, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 46-32 loss to Bingham in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
