Softball Recap: Jennings Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Edmund, Jennings was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Erath Bobcats. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Molly Person spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits.

At the plate, Cali Fontenot was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Madyson Mulvany also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Jennings' record now sits at 13-11. As for Erath, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Looking ahead, Jennings will be playing at home against Rayne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Erath has already played their next contest (against Patterson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
