Baseball Game Preview: Shawnee Renegades vs. Triton Mustangs

The Shawnee Renegades will take on the Triton Mustangs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Shawnee's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Triton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Friday, Shawnee didn't have quite enough to beat Delsea and fell 3-2.

Nick Panciera was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Shawnee saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Ahrens, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Triton lost 12-3 to Haddon Heights on Wednesday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Shawnee, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
