            Softball Preview: Farmington Tigers vs. Eastview Lightning        
        
		
        
        
            The Farmington Tigers will challenge the Eastview Lightning at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Farmington will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
It was a proper cat-fight when Farmington duked it out with Lakeville North on Wednesday. The Tigers blew past the Panthers 13-6. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven  runs or more this season.
 Olivia Peterson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.
 At the plate,  Lila Johannsen was  incredible,  going 3-for-5 with seven  RBI and two  doubles.  Kayley Schuenemann was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Farmington  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lakeville North only managed eight  hits.
 Meanwhile, Eastview was able to grind out a solid  victory over Lakeville South on Wednesday, taking the game  6-1.
 Farmington's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-1. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Eastview, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
 Everything went Farmington's way against Eastview when the teams last played  back in April, as Farmington made off with  a  17-0 victory. Do  the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lightning turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
