It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Heritage had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Mead Panthers 17-6. The result was nothing new for Heritage, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.
Jaila Ellis made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ellis has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances. Ellis was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and a stolen base.
