Basketball Recap: Richard Pioneers vs. Powers Catholic Chargers
Richard easily dispatched Loyola last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Richard Pioneers fell just short of the Powers Catholic Chargers by a score of 69-66 on Friday. The Pioneers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Chargers from their previous meeting back in January of 2020.
Andrew Caldwell was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 12 en route to 20 points and five rebounds for Powers Catholic. Caldwell's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dempsey Cull, who posted 15 points and eight rebounds.
