Gainesville extended their postseason success on Monday against Deep Run. They never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Gainesville pushed their record up to 21-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Deep Run, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10.

Coming up, Gainesville will challenge West Springfield at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. Deep Run does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
