Recap: Argyle Eagles vs. Colleyville Heritage Panthers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Argyle Eagles can now relate to. They fell to the Panthers 38-34. Argyle's defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Argyle still got an impressive performance from Maguire Gasperson, who rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 159 yards and a touchdown. Another player making a difference was Will Krzysiak, who picked up 109 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Colleyville Heritage got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Luke Ullrich out in front who rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and also threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns. Braden Blueitt also helped out with an impressive 117 receiving yards.
Argyle's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Colleyville Heritage, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Argyle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Colleyville Heritage will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Emerson at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Emerson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 games -- so hopefully Colleyville Heritage likes a good challenge.
