Jefferson Prep will stay at home for another game and welcome the Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Jefferson Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 311th, while Arrowhead Christian Academy is ranked 115th).
Last Wednesday, things could have been worse for Jefferson Prep, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 47-32 loss to Sonoran Science Academy.
Meanwhile, Arrowhead Christian Academy put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 69-14 victory over Sonoran Science Academy on the road. While fans of Arrowhead Christian Academy might be used to big wins, the 55-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Arrowhead Christian Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Asa Shaw out in front who scored 15 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cristian DeLaCruz, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Jefferson Prep's defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Arrowhead Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.
