Basketball Recap: Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy lost against Lake Lure Classical Academy back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy Eagles were beaten by the Lake Lure Classical Academy Raptors 57-20. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Mason Smith and Aiden Carver, who each put up four points. Smith also led the team in assists with two. Caleb Whicker held things down on the boards with three rebounds.

Leading Lake Lure Classical Academy to victory were Elijah Hill Moore and Ashawn Camp. Hill Moore dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards, while Camp went 8 of 13 on his way to 20 points along with five assists and four steals. D Watkins was another key player, putting up four points in addition to seven assists and five steals.

Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy will head out to challenge Temple Baptist at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Lure Classical Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Challenger at 6:30 p.m. Challenger is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.4 points per game this season.
