Softball Recap: Lutheran Comes Up Short at Home Against New Braunfels Thunder

Lutheran unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the New Braunfels Thunder Homeschool on Tuesday, falling 20-9. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

New Braunfels Thunder's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Lutheran is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Saint Mary's Hall at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Saint Mary's Hall's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Lutheran's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for New Braunfels Thunder, they will look to defend their home field on March 11th against Valor South Austin at 6:00 p.m.
