Archbishop Moeller extended the longest winning streak in Greater Catholic - South this week by beating St. Xavier, 20-17. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Archbishop Moeller and the Bombers played the most contested game in the league this week, with Archbishop Moeller eventually emerging with a 20-17 victory.
Thanks to the talents of Nicholas Tensing and Ben Glines, St. Xavier has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Tensing is tops in the league in passing with 578 yards, while Glines has rushed for 398 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is La Salle's Kevin Ferguson, with 247 yards on 13 catches.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Steve Specht's team and Elder. The Bombers enters the game ranked fourth in the state, while the Panthers ranks 16th.
