Softball Recap: Excelsior Charter Takes a Loss

Excelsior Charter lost against University Prep back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 15-14. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

April Corradino was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring four runs while going 3-for-3. She also put up two doubles, which were her first of the season. Tristen Gonzalez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Excelsior Charter's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for University Prep, their record is now 9-3.

While Excelsior Charter had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
