Baseball Recap: Solanco Comes Up Short

Solanco fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Conestoga Valley on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-3 to the Buckskins. Golden Mules fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Buckskins since on Wednesday.

Solanco saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Sensenig, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Solanco is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-6. As for Conestoga Valley, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Solanco will face off against Octorara Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Mules are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Conestoga Valley, they will square off against Eastern Lebanon County at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
