Frederick benefitted from Sias in 9-3 win
Matt Sias turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three hits surrendered on Thursday. He turned in his biggest game of the season , pitching 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also didn't allow any walks).
Sias' strong effort led Frederick over Northridge and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sias has dominated as far as earned runs are concerned (he's averaged 0.1 per game this season), but he's got his work cut out for him considering Northridge has only allowed 3.2 per game this season.
