Softball Recap: Croatan Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Bern, Croatan was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Swansboro Pirates. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Pirates on April 4th, they had to take a 7-4 defeat.

Croatan now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Swansboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Croatan will venture away from home to challenge Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Swansboro, they will head out to take on South Central at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
