Softball Recap: Summersville's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Summersville came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Couch Indians by a score of 18-15. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 23-7 back in March.

Elizabeth Havens was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Kaylin Heiney was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Summersville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Summersville's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Couch, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Summersville nor Couch have any future games scheduled.
