Basketball Recap: All Saints Episcopal School Takes a Loss

If All Saints Episcopal School was riding high fresh off their 54-28 takedown of Christ the King Cathedral last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The All Saints Episcopal School Patriots were outmatched by the San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots and fell 72-23. All Saints Episcopal School has struggled against San Jacinto Christian Academy recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, All Saints Episcopal School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lauren Brashear posted six points and 13 boards. Brashear is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last ten games she's played.

All Saints Episcopal School's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-15. As for San Jacinto Christian Academy, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 23-5.

All Saints Episcopal School will square off against Holy Cross at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. All Saints Episcopal School is facing Holy Cross at the right time seeing as Holy Cross is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for San Jacinto Christian Academy, they will challenge Holy Cross Catholic Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th. The timing isn't great for Holy Cross Catholic Academy: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while San Jacinto Christian Academy has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
