Football Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside lost against Geneva back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dragons took a blow against the Eagles, falling 56-14. While losing is never fun, the Dragons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 556th, while the Eagles are ranked 147th).

Although Lakeside took the loss, they still got scores from Masceo Boles and Matthew Wagner.

Lakeside dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Geneva, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 50-49 loss against Conneaut on the 17th. As for Geneva, they have also already played their next matchup, a 35-7 win against Madison on the 17th.
