Volleyball Recap: Florence Takes a Loss

Florence lost against St. Mary back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Huskies fell just short of the Pirates by a score of 3-2. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Florence actually scored more points across those five sets (104-102), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-22, 12-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Florence's record is now 4-9. As for St. Mary's, they moved to 6-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Florence is set to face off against their familiar foe Ellicott at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Mary's will challenge rival Woodland Park at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
