Basketball Game Preview: Western Alamance Warriors vs. Williams Bulldogs

Western Alamance hasn't had much luck against Williams recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Western Alamance Warriors will head out to challenge the Williams Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Western Alamance knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Williams likes a good challenge.

Western Alamance took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They managed a 76-70 victory over Eastern Alamance. While the Warriors didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Williams suffered their closest defeat since January 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Eastern Alamance by a score of 56-54. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Williams' loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Western Alamance, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Western Alamance and Williams were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but Western Alamance came up empty-handed after a 52-51 defeat. Can Western Alamance avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
